Returns/Exchanges and Equipment Upgrade Policies
Returns and Exchanges
Defective Product Exchange/Upgrade:
Eastside Audio Video allows for a defective (verifiable) exchange/upgrade of products for a period of 30 days from the date of delivery. Extensions for defective exchanges may be made on a case by case basis. Standard Trip charge fee is waived; for projects that do not fall within our standard area of service, additional travel charges may apply.
New in Box Unopened Returns/Exchanges/Upgrades
Eastside Audio Video will accept returns on new in box, unopened, non-special order items (sold by Eastside Audio Video) for a period of 14 days from the date of product delivery. Customers may be responsible for additional costs associated with product such as additional acquisition, delivery, return or shipping costs incurred.
Customers returning new in box, unopened, non-special order items (sold by Eastside Audio Video) within the 14 day return period will receive a complete refund less noted costs incurred. Estimated time for refund checks to be mailed is 5-7 business days.
Customers desiring to exchange or upgrade new in box, unopened, non-special order items (sold by Eastside Audio Video) may be granted an extended exchange/upgrade period and an accomadation for noted costs incurred in the process may be allowed.
Opened Item (used/unused) Returns/Exchanges/Upgrades
Eastside Audio Video may accept returns on opened, non-special order items (sold by Eastside Audio Video) on a case by case basis. Customers are responsible for all additional costs associated with product such as additional acquisition, delivery, return or shipping costs incurred AND a restocking fee may apply.
Eastside Audio Video reserves the right to issue account credits for "opened item" returns in lieu of a refund check.
Equipment Upgrades
Speaker Upgrades:
Eastside Audio Video's speaker upgrade policy allows customers to trade in their existing speaker(s) purchased from Eastside Audio Video within 1 year from the date of original delivery. To qualifiy, speakers must not be damaged AND customer must purchase new speakers from Eastside Audio Video at full MSRP/Retail pricing AND the new purchase must be equal to at least twice the price paid for the original speakers they are trading in.
Electronics - AV Processors, Amplifiers, Control Systems and Other non-video components:
Eastside Audio Video has no set criteria for the trade in of Audio Video Electronics, however on a case by case basis we may offer a credit to customers toward the purchase of replacement equipment.
Credit Value is loosely based on a rate of 70% depreciation per year from the original value (and date) of the equipment being traded in AND Equipment must still be functional including supplied remote and all accessories (or as noted). A reduced amount of credit may be offered where all parts and accessories are not available/functional.
Video (Displays, DVD/Blu-Ray), Networking and Computer Products:
Eastside Audio Video does not generally offer any credit for these items but may make exceptions on a case by case basis depending on what is being purchased so please feel free to ask and we'll give you a rough estimate of what we think the item is worth (Auction/Craigslist value) and what we'd be willing to pay for it (if we are willing to purchase it).
*Equipment Upgrades outside of standard return policies are allowed only on a case by case basis and must be approved by Eastside Audio Video's management.
